Happy New Year!

We hope you had a very merry Christ­mas. During December we held several Christmas parties for our brothers and sisters in Juarez. In addition to giving out clothing and groceries, we were able to give over 250 children a toy plus a bag of candy, peanuts and an orange. It was fun to watch their faces as they opened their gifts and showed their companions what they had received. “Please thank everyone who provided these gifts so our kids could have something special this Christmas,” one young woman told us. “We are so grateful, to God and to all of them. They will remain in our hearts and in our prayers!”

As we begin this new year of 2012, we want to thank all of you for joining with us in meeting the needs of the poor who face such hardships and challenges. We will continue to reach out to them, feeding the hungry, building homes for those without shelter, visiting the sick — for as the Lord said, “Whatever you did for the least of these, you did for Me.”
